Thanks Jeff, Funny thing about screen printers.. duct tape is of course what i reached for to protect the hole until i could repair it properly. The tape would probably last a while on it's own, i'm sure. The top side material on the unit is still in tact and the hole is just over an area were a corner of the manual sized screens set, so i really want to get something on there that stops the tear from continuing. I ended up going with a two-part rubber adhesive that's supposed to be comparable to divers glue (a westuit repair glue), the dive shop was out and referred me to the Home Depot. Here's some of the other quick patch ideas i've come across trolling for ideas (some from other sections of this board): --Barge Glue --Westsuit Glue --Silicone (i don't know, seems iffy) -- bike tire patch --pond liner patch (i couldn't find one here in Oakland, CA) hope this helps anyone else in the same situation, and i'll repost how the two-part glue ended up working. Also, still curious what other folks have tried and what Workhorse suggests for a repair? This unit is only about 1 year old, i'm surprised the blanket is degrading so quickly, I think we've been pretty easy on it.. ____________________ Brian Stern | |
