This is a hard question to answer. Not knowing your finantial situation.... If you have the money and it will not hurt your wallet I would seriously consider buying a new press. Go ahead and buy new, but if money is somewhat a concern wondering if you'll be able to make the payment during the off season then you might want to look into used. You might get lucky and find someone wanting to get rid of their Falcon.

I looked at new and used as well but could not justify buying new at the time. We found a used Olympion 8/10 that was in excelent shape at a great price. So we bought it. I felt like it was a good desition. We learned alot about printing on autos and still learning. You'll probably have a hard time finding a 10/12 Javlin. Might want to look for an 10/12 Olympian. I hope this helps.

I don't really know much about autos to tell you what is who is better or what press is the best or waht press is eisier to learn on. I feel like if I were to buy another press I would seriously consided another Tuf but would probably look into the Falcons...
