  I had the same problem when I got mine. Not really sure why it did that. I put some grease along its tracking and it seemed to work its self out. heres the problem you need to watch for. When you push the start button make sure you push it slowly and don't let it go until you hear the beep. The problem is if you bush the button in and out to fast or several times in a row it confuses the shutter. You'll need to turn it off for about 5 min. to reset it and it will work it self out. If you still have the same problem its probably not the case here...
