| the OYO Diablo, Direct to Screen would be able to handle a high volume workload, in the right environment. It is a fast system. It takes approximately one minute and thirty seconds to image the separation onto the screen. Because it's DTS there is no need for vacuum tables, so you can expose more frames. Some users expose four frames at the same time with a projection UV light. 6000 kw's, at 70 light units and 60 inches away, seems to expose well. Let those frames soak in a dip tank for four minutes and the images wash out easily with a standard garden hose nosel. That makes for a pretty fast through-put on a DTS system! The 16" (x 300ft) thermal ribbon sells for $267.00 per roll. That's 400 square feet for $1.50 per square foot. Not as cheap as vellum, but hey, vellum 'aint close to DTS either. | ||
