It's streaks, not voids. And I have been advised that a new printhead is the solution. About eighteen months ago an Oyo tech told me that they purchased the Japanese company and were moving the printhead manufacturing to Houston. They were up and running in April '05. It was my thought to run over to Houston and have my machine repaired. When I tried to get an appointment I was flatly rejected and referred to the head of customer service. I was informed there that due to production pressure it would not be possible for them to schedule even a replacement printhead date. So, having the "redheaded stepchild" treatment I am resorting to trying to see if it is possible for me to repair it myself. You mentioned a thermal head. ... could you elaborate? Thanks for any and all imput.
