Well first off for those of us who lived through the early years of discharge printing I have to say ... Smell , what smell?
Seriously I have printed with the plasticharge and do not mind the smell compared to what it used to be. as for after washing I really do not know what you mean. I have never had an after wash odor at all.
With waterbased inks they can turn bad/sour and have a strong amonia odor but I have not had this problem and would imagine the smell would not persist after washing.
