Hey. I'm a newbie screenprinter working with an Odyssey 6/6 manual and Union Mixopake inks. About a week ago, I did my first real print and it came out very nicely with clean lines and uniform ink texture. I cleaned the screen, stored it for about a week, came back yesterday, threw on some more ink, did a print and it looked horrible. This is a very simple one color (white ink) design which looked great last week and looks horrible this week, with doing absolutely nothing different. The ink deposits are speckled looking and very uneven. After looking very closely, I noticed that the ink was building up immediately on the print side of the screen and pretty much clogging the mesh, so when I went to print, the clogged ink was making contact with the shirt, not the ink I was actually pushing through. How do I fix this? I'm stumped and frustrated because it looked great last week. What changed? I hear that ink thinckens up while it sits, is this the problem?
