Its an easy enough thing to have a local metal shop cut them down, takes like 2-minutes each.

The only real other thing that bothers us is the yellow emergency bar right by the shirt load station. I rarely hit it, but my long armed son does quite often. Is there a way to do away with it?

Well, theres a reason for that bar, should you "do away with it" and your sons arm is below the pallet level when the press indexes then his arm or wrist could be broken on the first heads side bar screen clamp. Should this ever happen the fines from removing or disabling safety related equipment can be brutally expensive, and in some states grounds for denying both workers comp, and grounds for canceling your business insurance.

The press is made with sufficient space that it should not be an issue. I would suggest that he learn to load his shirts a little different. I have a shirt loading tutorial that may help, Click Here.
