Would an Anatol automatic Horizon fit through a regular 31" doorway? Would it be possible to take it down a set of 10 steps into a basement shop.

The short answer to both of your questions is YES. However you will need to make sure that the press is ordered to a special size to pass through the door. This is an option for the Mini and standard Horizon up to 6-colors only. Should you desire a press to have 8-colors you will need to have a 38" door.

I would however like to state that while it CAN be done, should it be done?

Obviously this is going to be a residential location, and considering the nature of an automatic press and all the things that will need to go with it (IE: air compressor) this will make a considerable amount of noise that unless you have no one else living in the house could make for a less than ideal living situation.

If your business has the work to require an automatic press, or you simply desire the advantages one will offer I would suggest looking at a large garage setup or having a poll barn style building constructed if your zoning laws allow it over a basement operation.

The complications of running an automatic press from the basement of a house,....are many.

Just my 2-cents.
