We went to the PPAI show in Vegas last week. It's the largest show in the industry. If you walk every aisle on each floor we were told it would amount to 22 miles.

Wear comfortable shoes and clothes. We usually take a wheeled cart (small wheeled suitcase with retractable handle.)One that is easy to unzip at end and insert samples.Toating a bag around would be punishment. The boxes you get will fill up real fast if you accept catalogs and you usually have to pay shipping yourself. We "always" have catalogs mailed. Your mailperson is going to hate you when all the catalogs start showing up.First time we went we let everyone scan us and send catalogs, boy was that a mistake, stacked side to side we received over 25ft of catalogs. Now we just get scanned by the suppliers that we are really interested in. We rolled samples back to our hotel room, packed them in boxes we got at Home Depot and sent them back by FedEx ground.

If you get a list of vendors and booth locations ahead of time, mark the ones you don't want to miss and visit all those first, then just walk the floor and see what catches your eye.A lot of the vendors will ask for a business card, make sure you take plenty. If the vendors name or ASI# is not on the sample product you get,get a business card from them and write on the back what you got from them so when you get home you won't forget where it came from. Some vendors will have self promo specials at a discount, some free, you have to ask sometimes.Start planning now what you are going to do with all the catalogs and samples
Enjoy the show!
