| If you haven't already, I'd suggest getting QuikSeps (simply because it's inexpensive) and it comes bundled with a program called AccuColor for doing process color seps, and work out the learning curve before taking on paying jobs. That way you'll have the confidence to accept a job, or know when your level of expertise is not quite up to the job being considered. The most trouble I've had with process color is consistency from one print to the next, as the inks are transparent, and any difference in pressure will show. Simulated process is a little more forgiving, but on any prints with large flat areas of color, I've had to struggle with moire. I'm STILL working that out. Oddly, that's not been an issue with process. | |
