what are you planning on doing with the foil? foil for shirts? that way i've done it is with a foil adhesive ink, and then the foil is heat pressed on. We just cut the foil( with a utility knife) to the length and width of the design that was going to be foil. No need to cut it intricately. If you are going this way, make sure you get a foil resistant additive to mix with your other colors, because the foil will stick to those too.
