Hi Dan, The ink on the item will be a chemical bond. You will need to use a glass ink or ink that is specifically for metal. Check the technical data sheet for the proper ink to hardener ratio. It will call to heat the item. Sometime you cannot heat the item to the desired temp. Any heat you can give it will help with the bond, but it will take longer for the ink to cure. I mean it may take several days longer. If you cannot reach the temp heat it longer. You need to make sure the print surface needs to be clean and free of oils You will need to clean it with an acetone or like chemical that will not leave a residue. Etch depth should be the same. I use a 200 lpi. screen. The ink should be thinned so the plate runs clean You should use the thinner for the ink. Glass inks are usually slower then plastic ink, so you will need to slow the machine down. Adding a little heat to the ink cup and pad and items couldn’t hurt. Hope this helps Frank | ||
