I have been using denatured alcolhol from the hardware store to develop my AW plates...works great. The inks and thinners do not break down the plates. Photopolymers act a little different than the diazo emulsions used in screen printing, and they cure much tougher. I have run 10K+ jobs on one plate. I'm not sure what the expected limit is. I would suggest using the thinners supplied with your ink series. Ink chemistry is one of the biggest challenges in pad printing. Trying substitue thinners could cost you a lot in wasted time and ink. | |
