Hi, Yes you can use any pad printing ink and some screen printing inks. If the ink can remain tacky so the pad can pick it up and then transfer it to the item you are printing you can use it. As for the ink on the plate you need to have enough blade pressure (they are caled doctor blades) so it cleans the plate but does not scoop the ink out of the plate. How are you mixing the ink? You should mix the ink with 10 to 20% thinner. You need to expose the plate with the proper etch depth. Hope this helps. Frank | ||
