hi all. I've just bought a manual pad printer and am having real problems getting anything to print. I'll start with plate making! I've made 3 plates, each has been exposed to the "tint" for different periods of time.. one for 150 seconds, one for 100 secs and one for 15 secs. the one exposed for 15 secs seems to be the clearer image, but non of them print... or at least i can't get them to. I suspect it's probably something to do with the ink? I have an open ink system, which uses a blade to wipe the image area clear of ink, the blade appear the be in the right position (any looser and it doesnt remove ink, any tighter and it removes ink from image, and sometimes wont move at all!... so blade is fine IMO) I have mixed the ink as follows ... 10g of ink + 1g of thinner. those were instructions i found on the net. but the pad just doesnt want to pick the ink up, the image printed either isnt there, or really really faint. Can someone help me with some general guide please?? i've spent hours on this and am getting no-where thanks laura ____________________ all i want to do is simple printing!! | ||
