I've gotten myself into a predicament with my nephew, over a couple of auto magnets. At Christmas, I told him I would design a custom auto magnet & we could get it printed with no problem. I don't actually create signs/magnets in-house, but I had a local guy with a complete set-up. Now, I've worked up TWO designs with my nephew for 2 custom magnets that he wants for his car. They would definitely need to be digitally printed, because of the colors used. I'm usually "Super Aunt", and now I'm feeling like a total loser, because I'm at a loss here.....The local guy's phone number has been disconnected!!! I think he closed his shop! AHHHHHHHHHH One magnet is a perfect cirle. The other is an oval. What should I do? Size is negotiable, as I can scale it to whatever works for printing purposes, but it's going on the rear of his car. I have entertained the thought of purchasing a large door panel magnet sign with the individual magnet images arranged so that I could cut them out. I don't have a cutter, and wondered if you guys thought I'd just end up destroying the entire thing by trying to cut it by hand with a sharp blade. Any thoughts? Anyone know of a way I could get these things printed? Obviously this is something I'm willing to pay for, I just can't bring myself to purchase 100 or 150 minimum from one of my vendors, just to get 1 magnet of each design for my nephew. The cost would be way out of what I had in mind. I've even looked at *gasp* Vista Prints, but their ship time is ridiculous....and I'd still end up having to cut the magnets from a large door sign. Help? Anyone? ____________________ Angie Davis currently Ad Specialty Company/Artist http://www.angiedavisgraphics.com formerly Freelance Screenprinting Computer Graphics Artist of 15 years | |
