Hello, we once bought a Roland PC 60, maybe the forerunner of the PC 600. The system works with a thermo-printhead and it seems that the printhead of your Roland has a malfunction. In 2001 the changing of the printhead costs about 850,00 Euro without shipping. As we started with this machine in 1998 Roland recommended for printing use MAC 9800 vinyl. Other qualities they told could wreck the printhead. During the guarantee period of our machine the printing head was changed twice. The resin ribbons and a working printhead produce a good quality on vinyl. The wax ribbons work with a lower head temperatur. Use them for cardboards or paper. After the third printhead we gave up printing. We use our PC 60 only for cutting. Good luck! | |
