UV inks are better to work with as far as drying in is concerned however they are way les forgiving. A gobb of UV on the seat of your pants will end up on your car seat and your easy chair. You use a 350 or finer mesh, you sharpen your aqueege befor each run, screens MUST be tight. For a run of 25 signs, just to turn on the c uring unit will double the cost of the signs. You can find used units out there, as far as what size would depend on how serious you are, a 18x24 has a way of growing to 48x48 and 48x96. We have a 48 " wide belt and at times is to small. American Ultriviolet is a good unit, We can be in the middle of a run at quiting time, pull the squeegee a nd clean it, leave the screen s it is, next morning, load the squeegee and the first print is perfect. With solvent inks you must print at least 4 or 5 pieces each minte to control the drying in. | |
