As stated not all foil adheshives are the same. To achieve a good consistent foil print from shirt to shirt try using a base plate under the foil adhesive. By doing this you fill the open areas of the fabric. 110 - flex base Flash 110-160 foil adhesive. Foil shirts while they are hot right from the oven, as the adhesives cool they can develop folds and creases which may or may not foil correctly. Straight foil adhesive onto fabric gets soaked up by the fabric, putting a base under it keeps it above shirt surface to achieve a mirror look. Try this too: 60-110 puff base, break up art with coarse mezzotint distressed pattern flash so it is dry but not puffing yet. 60 foil adhesive Apply foil to print while shirt is right out of oven, then put shirt back through oven, instant gold nugget look. Or try using a flex base, flash, followed by a thick film gel print, cure, foil. Not all heat transfer machines work well, you get what you pay for, recommend a pneumatic press over manual to adjust pressure precisely. Temp depends on machine, 325-350 for 4-8 seconds. Testing matters, try different settings of pressure time and temp until you get what you are looking for. Apply immediately out of ove ____________________ Alan Buffington | ||
