I'm going to respond to your post, but not knowing much about the dye-sub process, I can't answer any of your questions. What I can tell you is this. Beside screenprinting, I offer customers digital transfers, using pigmented ink and an Epson 3000. I'm still experimenting with paper choices, but have made some nice shirts and happy customers with these. Just this week I'm working on a school job that needed a full-color photo on the front of 50 shirts. We all get calls from people wanting/needing just 'a few shirts'. These jobs are perfect for transfers, dyesub, or if you have it, a DTG printer. To not lose the job, you need as many options as possible. Another option for the 10-color job, assuming the quantity was there, would be to sub it out to someone else. I hope this helped a little.
