I can tell you that with some inks, the waterproof films do better. Perhaps you can get and try a sample. Other than that, without knowing the characteristics and options of your specific printer, it's a little tough to go only by my experience with the 9800, (or Diane with her 9650) The 9800, for instance, offers aselection of more than a dozen different photo papers (of which I use HP Photo Glossy). It then also lists three or four transparencies where I also had luck choosing "Other" In the advanced tab it allows for increasing the ink volume, and in the color menu, like I told you earlier, either grayscale, using only black, or custom mixing colors by boosting black, adding a little magenta, and cutting off the cyan and yellow. I don't know if any of these options are available to you. It is not impossible that this sucker can't do what you want. It after all, was not sold as an "image setter". We are just fortunate with some of these printers to do as well as we do, especially without expensive RIPs to boost ink volume. ____________________ The Board Best Helps Those Who Help Themselves.
