  Hi Everyone,
I've been using my laptop as my main computer lately, and purchased a nice external flat panel monitor the other day. I just figured out how to run the laptop with the cover closed so as to just use the external monitor. My question is this: are there any pros or cons to doing this? I've read that some computers can run extra hot with the lid closed. On my machine the vents are at the back so it would seem to me that it wouldn't make a difference. Any thoughts?
