1. No you must use Waterproof Film with UltraChrome inks. If you don't, it will not be dense at all. You could double up your films and it still wouldn't be dense enough. 2. Without a RIP, it's a lot tougher to do. You should be able to increase your saturation limits for the black ink and reduce your ink limits for the other colors. You should also choose a matte setting. The R1800 needs matte inks for density, if not, it will be too faint. 3. Dye inks with Waterproof Films, are the best combination.
